Bishop Olivier received the relics of two martyrs of Laos: Father Joseph Boissel (1909–1969) and Father Jean-Pierre Vautier (1927–1961). Joseph Boissel (1909-1969) Originally from France, he arrived in Laos in 1938 and devoted much of his mission to mountain people, particularly the Hmong ethnic group, in the Luang Prabang Vicariate.
